Here comes another clip from STAR TREK INTO DARKNESS and we finally get some Scotty action! This scene features Kirk and Simon Pegg‘s Scottish engineer traversing the Enterprise as it takes damage during a battle. This may be one of the most intricate space fights ever filmed for a STAR TREK movie.

The clip shows the ship taking heavy damage as the two characters try to get through hallways as they twist and turn, INCEPTION style. I love that the ship will not stay pristine and just have a red alert flash as often occurs in the world of STAR TREK. We even get a glimpse at the Engineering Section (aka The Brewery) of the Enterprise.

So far, each clip we have seen from STAR TREK INTO DARKNESS has focused on different aspects of the movie: comedy, drama, intense dialogue, and now some action. I am looking forward to seeing if all of these pull together into as good of a movie as I am anticipating.

STAR TREK INTO DARKNESS starring Chris Pine, Zachary Quinto, Simon Pegg, Zoe Saldana, Benedict Cumberbatch, Alice Eve, Bruce Greenwood, Peter Weller, John Cho, Anton Yelchin, and Karl Urban opens May 17, 2013.

Also, here is a brand new featurette focusing on Simon Pegg‘s Scotty. Finally some love for the longest living Starfleet Redshirt!
