We have a Pulse

You know, I’m weird. I actually liked . I really did. I thought it was decent all around. And the fact that it starred the absolutely beautiful Kristen Bell (pictured above) didn’t hurt. Now PULSE, regardless of the luke warm reception it got, is in line to spawn two sequels, PULSE: AFTERLIFE and PULSE: INVASION.

Unfortunately for us, it doesn’t look like the lovely Kristen Bell will be showing up in these direct-to-dvd sequels. Instead, the news rolling in is that Jamie Bamber will be starring in the two films. Bamber is most known for his work on TV’s BATTLESTAR GALACTICA as Captain Apollo.

According to Moviehole.net, the plot for the two films reads like this:

Looks like it may have some promise, but probably would be better off as another franchise instead of banking off of PULSE. Joel Soisson, who has been responsible for HELLRAISER, DRACULA, and THE PROPHECY sequels, will be writing and directing, and apparently had never even seen an episode of BATTLESTAR GALACTICA before casting Bamber. PULSE: AFTERLIFE and PULSE: INVASION should be coming out sometime in 2009.
