Werewolves Within video interviews: Josh Ruben, Harvey Guillen speak with us

Last Updated on July 30, 2021

Yesterday, we shared the video interviews our own JimmyO conducted with Werewolves Within cast members Sam Richardson, Michaela Watkins, and Michael Chernus. We're now right in between the film's June 25th theatrical release date and its July 2nd On Demand and Digital release, and today we have a couple more Werewolves Within interviews to share with you. In the video embedded above, JimmyO talks to cast member Harvey Guillén and director Josh Ruben. Check it out!

Ruben made his feature directorial debut with last year's horror comedy Scare Me, which can be seen HERE and is well worth a look. Fans of horror comedy may be familiar with Harvey Guillén from his role as Guillermo de la Cruz on the FX series What We Do in the Shadows

Scripted by Mishna Wolff, Werewolves Within is based on an Ubisoft multiplayer VR video game (you can buy the game at THIS LINK) that was set in a medieval village. The film takes the basic concept and moves it into modern day, taking the werewolf mystery to the small, snowbound American town of Beaverfield. The film's synopsis:

After a proposed gas pipeline creates divisions within the small town of Beaverfield, and a snowstorm traps its residents together inside the local inn, newly arrived forest ranger FINN and postal worker CECILY must try to keep the peace and uncover the truth behind a mysterious creature that has begun terrorizing the community.

Richardson, Watkins, Chernus, and Guillén are joined in the cast by Milana Vayntrub, George Basil, Sarah Burns, Catherine Curtin, Wayne Duvall, Rebecca Henderson, Cheyenne Jackson, and Glenn Fleshler. Richardson also produced the film with Ubisoft's Jason Altman, Margaret Boykin, and Andrew Lieberman, and Vanishing Angle's Matt Miller, Natalie Metzger, and Benjamin Wiessner.

We have a couple different reviews of Werewolves Within available: you can read my take on the film HERE, or The Iceman's take on the film HERE. Or you can watch the video review embedded right here:
