Back to the Future, The Owners, Blu-ray

Happy Back to the Future Day, everybody! As a way to mark this momentous occasion, there's a new take on the BACK TO THE FUTURE trilogy hitting Blu-ray shelves today! Have you ever wished that you could watch Robert Zemeckis' classic trilogy in 4K? Well now you can and I bet it's going to look so amazing that it'll have you shouting "Great, Scott!"

In addition to watching the time-hopping adventures of Doc Brown and Marty McFly in 4K, you can also snag a copy of THE OWNERS, starring Game of Thrones star Maisie Williams, Sylvester McCoy, and Rita Tushingham. In the Julius Berg-directed horror film, a group of friends thinks they've found an easy score at an empty house with a safe full of cash. But when the owners, an elderly couple, come home early, the tables are suddenly turned. This will be making its way to my personal collection this week. Will you be picking it up as well?

Also up for grabs is NOS4A2: Season 2, starring Zachary Quinto and Ashleigh Cummings for the series adaptation of Joe Hill's chilling Christmas-themed horror story. The series focuses on Charlie Manx, a seductive immortal who feeds off the souls of children, but when Charlie has his whole world threatened by a young woman in New England, he discovers that she has a dangerous gift.

Other films set for release this week include director John Hyams' ALONE, which revolves around a recently widowed traveler who is kidnapped by a cold-blooded killer, only to escape into the wilderness where she is forced to battle against the elements as her pursuer closes in on her. If that's not your bag, maybe grab a copy of TREMORS: SHRIEKER ISLAND, starring Jackie Crus, Jon Heder, and Michael Cross. In Shrieker Island, Graboids are illegally taken to a new island resort by a rich playboy as a dangerous form of trophy hunting, and Burt Gummer steps up to save the day.

Other releases destined for Blu-ray shelves this week include re-releases for Studio Ghibli's MY NEIGHBOR TOTORO, PRINCESS MONONOKE, Stan Winston's PUMPKINHEAD, the Shudder Original SCARE PACKAGE, and much more!
