Here’s a weird one. XLrator Media has unveiled the trailer for THE SCRIBBLER, which boasts a pretty decent cast including Katie Cassidy, Michelle Trachtenberg, Eliza Dushku, Gina Gershon, Sasha Grey, Garret Dillahunt, Michael Imperioli and Billy Campbell. We’ve been writing about this one since spring of 2012, and this is our first real good look at it. It looks… bizarre, to say the least.

The film from New Artists Alliance is directed by John Suits and written by Daniel Schaffer, who also penned and illustrated the original 2006 graphic novel on which the film is based.

THE SCRIBBLER follows Suki (Katie Cassidy), a young woman confronting her destructive mental illness using “The Siamese Burn,” an experimental machine designed to eliminate multiple personalities. The closer Suki comes to being “cured,” she’s haunted by a thought… what if the last unwanted identity turns out to be her?

XLrator Media will release the film in theaters this fall.
