Adaptation of multiple personality graphic novel The Scribbler on the way

Last Updated on August 5, 2021

I love me a good multiple personality flick. So you can bet when news came crossing my way on just that I was going to race right on over to tell all of you about it!

And here we are! The project I’m talking about is an adaptation of First Comics’ graphic novel THE SCRIBBLER, which according to The Hollywood Reporter, is coming at us courtesy of New Artist Alliance and Caliber Media. Peep this one’s rundown:

Suki is not quite herself.

She has multiple personalities. She hears voices. She’s nuts.

But she’s getting help. New, experimental treatment. They call is Siamese Burn Therapy.

It’s a machine.

And it works. Suki is down to her last unwanted identity.

Except not she’s losing time. And the machine is changing. It’s doing something news.

And that unwanted identity… what do you do when it turns out to be you?

The kicker here is that THE SCRIBBLER is just one of four films in a deal just completed between New Artist Alliance and Caliber Media. You see these four films will all be co-produced by the two companies and will cost less than $1 million to make. That’s right folks – more micro-budget mayhem!

John Suits has already been tapped to direct the flick, which will be shot in 3D and will be based on Dan Schaffer’s graphic novel. Casting us currently underway.

What do you think? Sounds like something I can definitely get behind… but we’ll wait for some more details before jumping on board. You can bet we’ll be on the lookout for any other updates regarding THE SCRIBBLER so check back soon for that shite as it spills our way.
