Wonder Woman video game in the works from WB Games and Monolith Productions

WB Games and developer Monolith Productions have unveiled a Wonder Woman video game! No release date has been announced but WB revealed a teaser trailer that shows Princess Diana of Themyscira gearing up for the adventure ahead.

According to the official description, the Wonder Woman video will be a single-player, open-world action game featuring an original story. In the game, Diana will “fight to unite her Amazon family and the humans from the modern world.” Wonder Woman will also make use of the Nemesis System, a mechanic featured in Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor and Shadow of War.

Wonder Woman is one of several DC-related games currently in the works, with Rocksteady’s Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League and Gotham Knights both slated for release in 2022.

The teaser shows the Warrior Princess gearing up for battle and lit by the glow of her trusty Lasso of Truth. While we don’t get much in the way of the story, you can hear who I believe is Diana’s mother, Hippolyta, say, “My daughter, a new threat comes to our shores, and I must call you home.” The voice then commands, “Restore what has been broken.”

Does anyone else have chills? I certainly do! The time has come for Wonder Woman to take the gaming stage, and I can’t pre-order this title fast enough. Bring it on!
