We’ve faithfully been following Marko Mäkilaakso’s WWII thriller WAR OF THE DEAD since we caught a look at its first trailer allll the way back in 2006. That’s a long time to be keeping tabs on a flick, but thankfully for us and its creative team, we’ll finally be able to catch a look at it in the near future.

The Little Film Company has closed distribution deals for the with E1 Entertainment for the US, Momentum Pictures for the UK and Alliance Entertainment for Canada. Scanbox holds all Scandinavian rights. Now we just need some release dates…

Starring Andrew Tiernan, Jouko Ahola, Mikko Leppilampi, Samuel Vauramo, Mark Wingett, Andreas Wilson, Antti Reini and Magdalena Gorska, WAR OF THE DEAD holds the following synopsis: March 1942. Captain Martin Stone leads an American unit on a mission to destroy an enemy bunker; joining forces with an elite platoon of Finnish soldiers; Cpt. Niemi and Ltnt. Laasko. The troops are torn apart by the same enemy soldiers they had killed a few minutes earlier in an ambush. The living dead? Evil forces? Or SS experiments gone wrong?
