When the first image of Oscar Isaac as the titular villain of Bryan Singer's X-MEN: APOCALYPSE was released, many fans unfavorably compared him to the Power Rangers baddie Ivan Ooze, but the mutant almost had very different and more comic book accurate look. Jerad Marantz, a concept artist on the comic book movie, recently shared several pieces of early artwork for Apocalypse on his ArtStation page, however Marantz didn't say how close his design came to being used in the DAYS OF FUTURE PAST sequel.

Another concept artist on the film by the name of Joshua James Shaw also got in on the action by posting alternate designs for Tye Sheridan's Cyclops and Jennifer Lawrence's Mystique on his Facebook page, which you'll also find below. What are your thoughts on these unused X-MEN: APOCALYPSE character designs?
