Zach Galifianakis hosts a spoil of celebrities in Between Two Ferns trailer

Last Updated on August 2, 2021

Zach Galifianakis is taking his unpredictable Funny or Die talk show, Between Two Ferns, on the road!

Netflix dropped a surprise trailer for BETWEEN TWO FERNS: THE MOVIE this morning, which finds Galifianakis and his oddball crew taking a road trip to complete a series of high-profile celebrity interviews. Among the many who are set to endure Galifianakis' unorthodox interview stylings throughout the adventure are Matthew McConaughey, Brie Larson, Jon Hamm, Will Ferrell, Peter Dinklage, Benedict Cumberbatch, Paul Rudd, Tiffany Haddish, Keanu Reeves, Rashida Jones, Chance the Rapper, Awkwafina, Chrissy Teigen, Hailee Steinfeld, and many, many more.

For Between Two Ferns, Galifianakis interviews Hollywood royalty, politicians and fellow comedians alike. Each episode of the original series only lasts a few minutes, in which Galifianakis asks his guests a series of awkward questions. Some interviews have ended rather aburptly, with guests walking out on the interview, though it's to be believed that it's all in good fun. Viewers of the program often celebrate its antagonistic nature, and delight in its cringe-worthy delivery of bad jokes and insightful jabs. I suppose the question now is: Will a 4-6-minute long show work as a feature-length film?

We'll find out when BETWEEN TWO FERNS: THE MOVIE makes its way to Netflix on September 20.
