Look, up in the sky! It's a bird! It's a plane! No! It's Zack Snyder, and he's preparing to host a MAN OF STEEL Watch Party this Wednesday morning!

Obviously, no one is thrilled about the ongoing COVID-19 crisis, especially moviegoers. Hell, the last film that I'd ended up seeing in theaters was BIRDS OF PREY: AND THE FANTABULOUS EMANCIPATION OF ONE HARLEY QUINN, and that's already available to own on Blu-ray. Be that as it may, Hollywood has managed to find ways of keeping film fans engaged by hosting a number of reunion specials, direct to home market premieres, and watch parties that let you experience your favorite films alongside the people who'd helped bring them to life. Granted it's not the same as going to the cinema, but it'll certainly do during these troubling times.

Like I was saying, Zack Snyder is hoping to raise fans' spirits during the coronavirus pandemic by hosting a MAN OF STEEL Watch Party via the Vero social media app.

In addition to hosting the event, Snyder will also field a selection of questions from fans after the big show. In other words, this is the perfect opportunity to present your burning inquires about Snyder's take on the iconic superhero, or ask how Jonathan Kent managed to maintain his stoic composure even while being consumed by a whirling tornado.

Written by David S. Goyer and based on a story written by him and Christopher Nolan, MAN OF STEEL depicts the origin of an alien child who, after being evacuated from his home planet, Krypton, is sent to Earth to live among humans. In time, the child learns that he possesses abilities unlike the people of Earth have ever seen, and so he must learn to use his gifts for the benefit of humankind. The film stars Henry Cavill as Clark Kent/Superman, with Kevin Costner and Diane Lane assuming the roles of Jonathan and Martha Kent, respectively. Amy Adams also stars as Lois Lane, with Russell Crowe acting as Clark's biological father Jor-El, and Michael Shannon as the villainous General Zod.

Snyder's MAN OF STEEL grossed $668 million at the world wide box office during the film's theatrical run, despite the movie receiving a series of mixed reviews from both fans and critics alike. In the time since the film's release, MAN OF STEEL has become a topic of hot debate – exhaustively so in some cases. In fact, I've no doubt that when Snyder opens the floodgates to fans this Wednesday, you're gonna see some serious shit. Here's hoping the mods are ready.
