Yup, Zombies and Santa, and demons and hot women and the like. What the hell am I talking about? I’m talking about THE LAST CHRISTMAS!
The guys behind 300, Hollywood Gang have just optioned the rights to THE LAST CHRISTMAS. Your still asking yourself what the hell am I talking about. Well THE LAST CHRISTMAS is a graphic novel by Gerry Duggan and actor/comedian Brian Posehn (THE DEVIL’S REJECTS, TV’s JUST SHOOT ME). According to Amazon, the plot is:
After the apocalypse, no one is safe; not even at the North Pole. After tragedy strikes, Santa withdraws from life and turns his back on Christmas. When he finally emerges from seclusion, the old world is gone forever, and as Santa struggles to find his way in a post-apocalyptic world, can he find a way to save Christmas too?
Unique? I’d say. That sounds pretty badass. Just picture jolly ol Saint Nick wielding a modified candy cane shotgun and blasting the undead. Don’t you just get that warm fuzzy feeling that tells you it’s Christmas? I know I do! No word on production for THE LAST CHRISTMAS, just that it’s been optioned. Gianni Nunnari will be producing with Craig J. Flores exec-producing. I wouldn’t mind it one bit if Posehn and Duggan scripted the adaptation.
