Director Tony Scott and Denzel Washington have teamed up for a pretty impressive roster of films including CRIMSON TIDE, MAN ON FIRE and DEJA VU. Now they're teaming up for a remake of the 1974 thriller THE TAKING OF PELHAM 123. They've brought John Travolta along for the ride who plays the criminal mastermind who hijacks a subway train and demands a ransom or he'll begin executing the train's passengers.

The film doesn't open until July 24th but you can see the trailer in theaters this weekend attached to THE INTERNATIONAL and the new poster for the film right here on JoBlo.com. Check out the exclusive poster debut below!

Extra Tidbit: The Beastie Boys dropped a PELHAM reference in their 1994 song "Sure Shot"

Not been following this due to my general dislike for the remakes they've been doing but Washington and Travolta might get me to see it. Don't think much of the poster.

Denzel and Tony have yet to disappoint. Let's hope this will be the same.

Speaking of which, if you haven't seen the original with Walter Matthau and Robert Shaw, go do that as soon as possible.
