Aerosmith’s Steven Tyler to appear in Casey Tebo’s Happy Birthday!

Last Updated on July 22, 2021

After making several concert films over the last few years, director Casey Tebo has moved on to making a narrative feature in the horror genre, and he has brought a rock 'n roll legend along with him: Aerosmith's Steven Tyler makes an appearance in Tebo's film HAPPY BIRTHDAY! as a character called Kasape Suka.

A "mesmerizing", "fast-paced horror thriller", HAPPY BIRTHDAY! tells the story of

two friends who venture across the border to Mexicali for a night of birthday revelry. Before they know it, their trip spins out of control and their psychedelic exploits take a turn for the worse.

Tyler's co-stars include Britne Oldford, Matt Bush, Tristin Mays, Vanessa Lengies, and Riley Litman.

The film was produced by Sean McKittrick, Steve McKee, Mark Namtil, and Sheila R. Rose. Bruce Quarto executive produced.

Arclight Films is handling international sales and is currently presenting HAPPY BIRTHDAY! to potential distributors at the European Film Market.

Sounds like quite an interesting project, and I'm curious to see how Steven Tyler will come off in a horror movie. Here's hoping distribution deals will be made at the EFM and we'll be hearing release dates soon.
