Brian De Palma’s new erotic thriller Passion gets domestic release from IFC

Last Updated on August 5, 2021

Hot off its TIFF debut, Brian De Palma’s Sapphic new thriller PASSION is on the brink of being IFC’s domestic property, according to THR. No telling though when the flick will be released.

Starring Noomi Rapace and Rachel McAdams – PASSION is:

An erotic thriller in the tradition of Dressed To Kill and Basic Instinct, as Brian de Palma’s Passion tells the story of a deadly power struggle between two women in the dog-eat-dog world of international business. Christine possesses the natural elegance and casual ease associated with one who has a healthy relationship with money and power. Innocent, lovely and easily exploited, her admiring protégé, Isabelle, is full of cutting-edge ideas that Christine has no qualms about stealing. They’re on the same team, after all… But when Isabelle falls into bed with one of Christine’s lovers, war breaks out.

Seems our man C.Bum wasn’t too impressed by PASSION, but that isn’t stopping the flick from screening next at the New York Film Festival. I’m still too intrigue to pass it up myself. You feel the same?

Standby for a legit release date…
