Comedian Billy Eichner will help tell an American Horror Story

Although the specifics of the upcoming seventh season of the FX anthology series American Horror Story are still being kept under wraps, we have known a few things for a while now: AHS veterans Sarah Paulson and Evan Peters will be coming back to appear on the new season, and the plot has something to do with the 2016 presidential election – the show's creator Ryan Murphy has said that the story begins on election night and both Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump will be portrayed on the show in some way.

Now we can add another item to the list of things we know about AHS season seven: comedian Billy Eichner has joined the cast in a "heavily recurring role".

Eichner is expected to be featured in six or seven of the season's eleven episodes. Word is that his character will be a close confidant of Paulson's character and he will be wearing "mysterious tank tops".

For me, the mystery is "How mysterious can a tank top be?" I guess we'll be finding out when American Horror Story returns to the airwaves this fall.

I don't keep up with pop culture as well as I used to, so I have no familiarity with Eichner, even though I've apparently seen him in NEIGHBORS 2 and Hairspray Live! His other credits include Parks and Recreation, the Hulu series Difficult People, and the Fuse game show Billy on the Street.
