DEADLINE - December 1st
Is Brittany Murphy becoming the next STD horror star? She was in THE DEAD GIRL a while back, and now this. What the hell? AND Thora Birch from TRAIN fame? Yikes. I'm not sure what DEADLINE has to do with cameras and whatnot, but with a tagline like Focus Your Fear, I can only assume it has to do with some SHUTTER-style horror shenanigans. Cover's not bad, but I'm not holding my breath.
THE WITCHES HAMMER - November 24th
If BLOODRAYNE was your cup of tea, if seeing a hottie in spandex jump around with big swords kicking supernatural beings asses is your idea of a good time, then this little bastard may be the entertaining trashfest you've been waiting for! Cheap, low-budgeted, and yet there's an air of likability going on here that I can't quite put my finger on. It's like a mix between BLOOD: THE LAST VAMPIRE and some other p.o.s. STD knock-off. And yet somehow, I can't wait to check it out.
HALLOW'S EVE - October 30th (UK)
What the heazey is this? A Halloween horror flick hitting DVD shelves in the UK the day before Halloween? I can live with that. A murder mystery, a slasher, and a slaughter... on Second Street! Ok, I'm not quite sold on this sucker yet, but there does appear to be some promise. If you're desperate. But just check out all those features!
BEAST WITHIN – November 3rd – Because there's something about this cover that makes me want to pick this sucker up and watch.
DARK MIRROR – November 3rd – Because there's nothing scarier than a mirror in the dark. NOTHING.
OMEN - November 24th – Because a rip-off of a classic like THE OMEN has to be entertaining, no?
