Frankenweenie lays out theater rules in IMAX policy trailer

Last Updated on July 23, 2021

I judge my fellow human beings by two basic attributes: 1) their actions and how they affect others and 2) their actions in a movie theater and how they affect others. Which means in my eyes all you talking, texting, baby-bringing-to-R-rated-movies people out there are contributing to the downfall of Western society. If I ran the world, one would be forced to pay fines of $100 or more every time basic movie theater law was offended.

But who would be the maker of these laws, you ask? Why FRANKENWEENIE, of course. In a new IMAX policy trailer the undead mutt has already done the legwork in explaining how to properly conduct yourself in a cinema.

I see this entertaining ad as a major step in educating a new generation of moviegoers on theater etiquette. Plus, it will remind people who should already know better to stop acting like such self-absorbed jerks and just watch the movie. As opposed to tweeting about how much it sucks while putting their foot up on the headrest next my own.

Tim Burton’s FRANKENWEENIE hits theaters and IMAX October 5th and stars Winona Ryder, Martin Short, Catherine O’Hara, Martin Landau, Charlie Tahan, Atticus Shaffer, Robert Capron and Conchata Ferrell. Check out the policy trailer below and remember: if you’re a closeted movie theater jerk, it’s never too late to turn your life around… with a little help from FRANKENWEENIE.
