Jeff Fisher was a producer on the reality series THE SIMPLE LIFE, which means he had to work with mega-brats, Paris Hilton and Nicole Richie. Perhaps that painful experience has benefited us horror fans. Because Fisher has written and directed a new genre flick called KILLER MOVIE (Jared gave us all the trailer a couple months back), and if you take a look at the plot, you may be able to figure out where its inspiration came from:

A reality television shoot goes terrifyingly awry when its crew becomes stranded in a remote Northern town. A killer is on the loose, stalking cast and crew members one by one. As past suspicions, betrayals and secrets inexplicably come into play, the unimaginable horror of shooting this reality show becomes all too real for Jake Tanner, the show’s director, his crew and Hollywood starlet Blanca Champion. With jump out of your seat special effects, spot on comic timing from excellent actors, heart stopping suspense and inventive murder sequences, this movie is a scary, sexy, fun and unforgettable ride ripped from today’s headlines.

Hmm, I wonder if the Hollywood starlet is tall, skinny, blonde, and likes to say that things are “Hot”? Regardless, the flick sounds like a very fun ride. Plus, it looks really cool too! The rest of the cast includes the likes of Paul Wesley, Gloria Votsis, Al Santos, Jason London, Torrey DeVitto, Leighton Meester, and J.C. Chasez . KILLER MOVIE will be premiering at the Tribeca Film Festival this month.
