New pics and more viral madness from Total Recall

Looks like someone attended THE DARK KNIGHT and PROMETHEUS school of viral marketing. Len Wiseman’s upcoming TOTAL RECALL remake is still almost two months away and I guarantee that the folks behind the movie’s marketing will make good use of it, trying to get our asses in them theater seats. Still, it’s good to see them putting some creativity into the process.

Case in point, two new viral websites have just emerged, the first one – WelcomeToRekall – being the official website for that infamous memory implantation service we all know and love, while the other – NoRekall – sends an altogether different message. Neat stuff.

In other news, a couple of new images from the flick have also emerged, mostly showing off a distraught and confused looking Colin Farrell. Scope’em out below.

Welcome to Rekall, the company that can turn your dreams into real memories. For a factory worker named Douglas Quaid, even though he’s got a beautiful wife (Kate Beckinsale) who he loves, the mind-trip sounds like the perfect vacation from his frustrating life – real memories of life as a super-spy might be just what he needs. But when the procedure goes horribly wrong, Quaid becomes a hunted man. Finding himself on the run from the police – controlled by Chancellor Cohaagen, the leader of the free world – Quaid teams up with a rebel fighter to find the head of the underground resistance and stop Cohaagen. The line between fantasy and reality gets blurred and the fate of his world hangs in the balance as Quaid discovers his true identity, his true love, and his true fate.

TOTAL RECALL gets its ass into theaters on August 3rd, starring Colin Farrell, Kate Beckinsale (below), Jessica Biel, Ethan Hawke, Bryan Cranston and Bill Nighy.
