See ‘The Munsters’ from “Mockingbird Lane” in this first cast photo from Comic-Con!

Now truth be told I’m not completely sold on NBC’s re-imagining of “The Munsters.” That’s right folks, I’m talking about “Mockingbird Lane.” Don’t get me wrong, considering the ‘dark tones’ the show is said to include I’m hoping we’re treated to something awesome… but I have my doubts.

Regardless, when news drops on the first cast photo from the series you can bet I’m going to dig into that shite! Creator Bryan Fuller recently headed a panel at Comic-Con for NBC to talk “Mockingbird Lane” and “Hannibal.” Now we’re here to talk about the former, which not only screened four minutes worth of footage from the pilot at Comic-Con but debuted a new cast photo as well! And we’ve got a look at that shite courtesy of TVLine! Now the quality pretty much sucks but beggars can’t be choosers right? Tap that shite below! Here’s a rundown of the footage shown:

A sizzle reel of footage from the Mockingbird Lane pilot, which finished shooting three days before the panel, revealed that the series has the auteur’s stamp all over it. Darkly humorous and visually distinctive, the sneak peek featured a scene of a wolfed-out Eddie terrorizing his Boy Scout friends on a camping trip, clever nods to the original series and Eddie Izzard as Grandpa chomping into a lion. Special effects to be added will also allow Lily’s outfit to form out of spiders and for Grandpa to manifest out of rats.

I’ve also tossed up another behind the scenes cast shot that I stumbled upon during my travels. Peep that picture above.

The madness begins when a baby bear attacks a scouting trip, only it turns out that this “bear” is actually Eddie transformed into a werewolf. Eddie is unaware of his metamorphosis and it forces the family to move in order to protect the family secret. The coming of age story gets weirder as he fights against his family when he learns of a shocker: they’re a family of flesh-eaters!

According to TVLine not only will the family’s iconic car the ‘DRAG-U-LA’ be included in the series but their live-action, dragon-like pet ‘Spot’ will be there as well! Nice!

“Mockingbird Lane’s” cast includes Portia de Rossi (below), Jerry O’Connell, Eddie Izzard, Mason Cook and Charity Wakefield as our monstrous family along with Cheyenne Jackson and Beth Grant. There’s no telling when “Mockingbird Lane” will be hitting NBC but you can bet as soon as we know, you will too!
