Silent Hill: Revelation 3D has an awesome illustrated poster

To those of you out there who claim horror is experiencing a dead period, I say you're nuts. This October alone we've got SINISTER, PARANORMAL ACTIVITY 4, FRANKENWEENIE, and, at the top of my list, SILENT HILL: REVELATION 3D. As a big fan of the first film and the game franchise, I'm very excited to report news of the awesome Italian illustrated poster below.

Let's make no bones about it-- REVELATION seems to just be a straight adaptation of SILENT HILL 3, which is why I'm so excited to see the iconic "Halo of the Sun" symbol in the background. The Nurses and Pyramid Head are also well represented (though the latter monster didn't appear in SILENT HILL 3, I welcome the big guy's involvement just the same). The color scheme gives off a very HUNGER GAMES vibe, which is a little misleading, but the layout mostly reminds me of a Drew Struzan painting. Also, star Adelaide Clemens reminds me a lot of Radha Mitchell in the original film, which doesn't hurt matters either.

SILENT HILL REVELATION 3D hits theaters October 26 with Michael J. Bassett writing and directing. The amazing cast includes the aforementioned Clemens and Mitchell as well as Sean Bean, Kit Harington, Carrie-Anne Moss, Malcolm McDowell, and Deborah Kara Unger. Check out the one-sheet below and tell us how you feel about returning to SILENT HILL yet again.

Extra Tidbit: Let's hope the film doesn't skimp on the Radha Mitchell (pictured above).
