Horror Movie News | Terry Crews has more to say on EX2 and that PG-13 rating - he is fired up!!
Remind me that if I come across Terry Crews to never look at him with anything other than a smile, this dude is one heck of a badass. The man is fired up over the fan reaction to THE EXPENDABLES 2 being rated PG-13, he isn’t happy about it and he sure as hell wants us all to know about it!
"It's PG-13. Do you really think only men 40 and over saw the first one? The kids bought tickets to "Eat Pray Love" and walked right into "The Expendables". In fact, they were YOUR kids."
"I get it. I really do. But boobs and blood do not a good movie make. You don't want to go. Don't go. I respect it. But you will miss the greatest thing you've ever seen."
LETTER TO AN EX2 BOYCOTTER: "Sorry we lost you. But hey, when you come out of the 80's, the rest of the world will still be here. On the last one, kids had to sneak into the theater to see it. Now it'll be all you tough guys who are vowing to boycott number 2. See ya in the theater. (Your disguise isn't working)."
Well I am not sure where Terry got his info from, but I don’t think anyone really paid to see EAT, PRAY, LOVE so not sure where that came from. I know when I saw the film; there wasn’t a kid in sight and everyone looked to be at least 20 and over. So basically I think the real story behind this rating is that they clearly want to broaden the audience and perhaps make more money. I could be wrong, but to be honest, this is how it is really reading and not a decision made to fit in with the demands of one cast member.

Maybe this is even a stab at publicity before they "miraculously" turn about and go R rated for the fans. One can dream......

My parents were always liberal about what movies I watched so I grew on R rated movies. Parents should be the ones that ultimately dictate what their kids see. The filmmakers shouldnt be worried about catering to the masses. They should be worried about pleasing fans of the original who want a hard R action movie like in the 80s. Haven't the movie studios learned with Terminator and Die Hard that it really pisses fans of the series off when they take a franchise that started off as a R rated and then condensed down to PG13.
