DON'T BREATHE is the endcap to a long summer of horror blockbusters. The genre is back on top, owning a movie season that has been otherwise pretty bland. The reunion of Fede Alvarez and Jane Levy might not be in theaters yet, but before it comes to your eyeballs you can enjoy a scene where we learn exactly to what degree our three heroes have bitten off more than they can chew. Directed by Fede Alvarez from a screenplay he wrote with Rodo Sayagues, produced by Sam Raimi and Robert Tapert, and starring Jane Levy, Daniel Zovatto, Dylan Minnette, and Stephen Lang, DON'T BREATHE has the following synopsis:
Three teens who get away with perfectly planned home robberies have set their sights on one last payout that will get them out of crime forever. Their target: a reclusive blind man with millions of dollars in hiding. But as soon as they break into his home, the tables are turned and they find themselves trapped and fighting for survival against a psychopath with secrets of his own.
DON'T BREATHE is scheduled for an August 26th release.
