When I sat down with Steven Spielberg earlier this fall, he promised we would see the first INDIANA JONES teaser poster after Thanksgiving. Sure enough, today the official KINGDOM OF THE CRYSTAL SKULL website has posted the new teaser poster complete with art by Drew Struzan. You get your first look at the Crystal Skull, looming ominously behind Indy as well as Harrison Ford in an iconic pose. All in all, it's exactly what you'd want from an INDIANA JONES teaser poster. It's just a matter of time before it's hanging on my wall!

In addition, USA Today has posted some plot details, which may include spoilers so be forewarned. They confirm that Cate Blanchett will play a villain, the seductive Soviet Agent Spalko and that Ray Winstone will play an unethical rival archaeologist. As for those skulls, how exactly were they carved out of crystal? ""The theory is they are shaped by higher powers or alien powers or came from another world, or an ancient Mayan civilization had the powers," says producer Frank Marshall. Hmmmm.... INDIANA JONES AND THE KINGDOM OF THE CRYSTAL SKULL opens up on May 22. Check out the poster below!

Hmmm...
The poster is neat...this movie isn't. It's about 10 years too late. Harrison's no longer Indy. And Shia Lebouf has NEVER been in a movie worth a damn.

I have to say...
I know everybody is loving this poster but it's not selling me, I've been eagerly awaiting all the details and having great discussions about where it could/should/might go and really getting hyped up for this release but for some reason this poster is the first thing I have been 'eh' about and that worries me, it should be a picture of indy's head with action going on in the foreground or some...

Nice....
It looks......GOOD!! Set it beside the other three, like I have done with my wallpaper, and they work really well together. I'm excited for this flick now that I actually get to see Indy in his trademark hat again.

I'm a big fan of Drew, but what's up with that static pose??? This isn't Niagra Falls, it's the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull (whatever that is), and all he could muster is an awkward stance and half a smile. Hoping the next one will be better.

By the way... doesn't the background skull look a bit... alien?? Just check the eye sockets, they're not round, more elliptic.
