Johnny Depp is awaiting the outcome of the defamation trial against his ex-wife Amber Heard and as that is being determined, there are also rumors circling his professional life. Some folks are thinking Johnny Depp could be in Beetlejuice 2.

This rumor appears to come from Depp’s name appearing on a call sheet for the sequel that has been circulating online and can be found on Google. Based on the rumor, Depp would be appearing alongside Michael Keaton and Winona Ryder, who would be reprising their roles from Tim Burton’s 1988 original film. You can check out the Google search cast listing below!

The 1988 film revolved around a dead married couple, played by Alec Baldwin and Geena Davis, who are resurrected as ghosts who become hell-bent on haunting a new family out of their dream home. Ryder played Lydia Deetz in the original film while Michael Keaton played the titular character. Fans have been clamoring for a sequel for a while now and Ryder has previously stated, during a chat with USA Today, that she’s “hopeful” a sequel will move ahead. The actress said, “I’m in! I’m definitely excited and I’m really hopeful that it’ll happen. The only way we would do it is if everything was perfect and we had all the people, obviously Michael and obviously Tim.”

If Johnny Depp was to appear in the Beetlejuice sequel, he would be reunited with Ryder whom he starred with in Edward Scissorhands and also dated for three years. Ryder has defended Depp recently against the abuse claims made by Amber Heard by saying, “I truly and honestly only know him as a really good man – an incredibly loving, extremely caring guy who was so very protective of me and the people that he loves, and I felt so very, very safe with him.”
