Strike Back below!

If I as a writer for a major film website have any power whatsoever, by the power of Castle Greyskull may it be manifest now. It appears (courtesy of our sexy sister site AITH) that ALL THE BOYS LOVE MANDY LANE has been pushed back again. Instead of the already belated May release, it looks like we're now getting an August one. Why? Who knows? The thing has been getting great reviews, and Amber Heard just exploded in NEVER BACK DOWN, so I'm inclined to blame black magic and/or international terrorism.

The skinny is as follows: A group of high schoolers invite Mandy Lane (Amber Heard), a good girl who became hot over the summer, to a weekend party on a secluded ranch. While the festivities rage on, the number of revelers begins to drop quite mysteriously.

I'll put my cards on the table here, I am not a fan of horror movies and I am not a fan of "good girl suddenly got hot" stories. But after taking my little brother to NEVER BACK DOWN last weekend, I'm militantly of the opinion that I would enjoy a seven-hour musical adaptation of BATTLEFIELD EARTH if Amber Heard was on the screen. And if you disagree on that I'll kick your ass. Give us the movie already, please.

Extra Tidbit: If I have any power left over, could I also please be hired to write the next AVP film? Thanks.

Already saw it. It's a mediocre movie. Not bad but not good either.

NOT A GOOD MOVIE
I saw this flick and it's not even close to being good. The chicks are pretty hot but the story is flat and long(slow). The film has some nudity and the director tries to do his best but it's still bad. Best comparison is original Prom Night. PM is better.

Um, is it me, or does THAT plot synopsis make it sound like that David borenaz shitfest VALENTINE, only with a girl instead of a boy?

Well, anyway, they can't delay it that much longer. Every time I figure I missed it, I find out it hasn't come out yet, so...

I can't...
... believe I've never had the same thought, but Neon October is absolutly right. Thereby giving me even less confidence than I had in studio executives having any clue as to what they are doing.

I don't either Neon October. This is more than likely a $20-$30 million money maker movie. Everything has been pretty much positive.

I don't understand
I never can see how certain movies are delayed like this (or Trick R Treat and WHere the Wild Things Are) are lost in a limbo, while Prom Night gets a solid release date.
