Kirk Cameron is Saving Christmas in the trailer for his new movie

Last Updated on August 2, 2021

Alright everyone, here is the trailer you were all waiting for. The first Christmas movie of the year has unveiled a trailer! It is Kirk Cameron‘s SAVING CHRISTMAS!

Okay, so maybe you weren’t waiting for this one with bated breath, but this trailer is certain to stir some conversation. Cameron, the former teen star of GROWING PAINS and the LEFT BEHIND films, has made a recent career out of religious-based documentaries exploring Christianity in modern America. Whether you agree with the guy or not, he definitely has a specific opinion about his faith and how he thinks others should view it.

In SAVING CHRISTMAS, Kirk is enjoying the annual Christmas party extravaganza thrown by his sister (Bridgette Ridenour) until he realizes he needs to help out Christian (Darren Doane), his brother-in-law who has a bad case of the bah-humbugs. Kirk’s fresh look at Christmas provides Christian the chance to see Christ is where He has always been: at the center of our Christmas celebrations and traditions.

His latest movie, SAVING CHRISTMAS, looks like a hybrid between a Tyler Perry comedy, a Christmas movie, and a documentary. I think Kirk Cameron is playing a fictional version of himself or possibly his real self in a fictional plot. I cannot say for sure. All I know is that Cameron plans to put the Christ back in Christmas, or whatever that means.

SAVING CHRISTMAS will have a limited theatrical engagement beginning November 14th.
