Yesterday Daredevil showrunner Steven DeKnight answered several fan questions on Twitter, and revealed a few things about the upcoming Netflix series.

Steven DeKnight said Daredevil will be gritty and PG-16-ish when asked about the rating for the series, and says there will be quite a few Easter Eggs "if you watch carefully." DeKnight goes on to say it'll be explained how Daredevil got the black suit, and Matt Murdock's Catholicism will play a role in the series, saying "Can't have DD without the C."

Vincent D'Onofrio is playing Wilson Fisk/Kingpin in Daredevil, and Steven DeKnight says D'Onofrio is "absolutely breathtaking" as the villain. DeKnight also says it's "too soon to know" if he'll also be involved with Netflix's Defenders series, and if he could make a show about a comic book character that isn't Daredevil, it would be Punisher. As to how Daredevil will tie in with the Marvel movies, Steven DeKnight says, "You'll have to watch."

I know everyone is pumped for AVENGERS: AGE OF ULTRON, but I'm (almost) more exctied for Netflix's Daredevil. He's one of my favorite comic book characters of all time, and I'm incredibly happy he's getting a dark (or at least darker than the Marvel flicks) television series. Can. Not. Wait.

Daredevil will be available on Netflix May 2015.
