Don’t Mess w/ Sandler

Three of the biggest and most talented names in comedy are teaming up for a new movie. Adam Sandler, Judd Apatow and Robert Smigel (Triumph the Insult Comic Dog, “The Ambiguously Gay Duo”) wrote the script for the upcoming comedy YOU DON’T MESS WITH ZOHAN, a film Sandler would star in. The film would star Sandler as a former Mossad agent who fakes his death so he can fulfill his dream of working in a NYC hair salon. ZOHAN would be Sandler’s first character-based (a la ZOOLANDER) film in quite some time. Smigel is currently working on a polish of the script to get it ready for production. Filming is expected to begin this summer and would be Sandler’s big 2008 summer movie. At this time Apatow (KNOCKED UP) is not expected to direct and no director is yet attached. Sandler can be seen next in the 9/11 drama REIGN OVER ME and in the summer comedy I NOW PRONOUNCE YOU CHUCK AND LARRY with Kevin James.
