Aaron Eckhart, last seen getting defaced by The Joker at ibelieveinharveydenttoo.com, has signed on to star in the upcoming drama TRAVELING for Universal. Eckhart will play a widower who turns around his life by writing a self-help book about coping with grief. As he tours the nation promoting his book he falls in love with a woman and (not so coincidentally) realizes that while he’s teaching people to overcome grief, he himself hasn’t come to grips with the death of his wife. Sadness, crying, hugging, soul searching and then some I-finally-got-over-my-dead-wife-hot-lovin abound. The film will mark the directorial debut of writer Brandon Camp who previously scripted DRAGONFLY (which followed a guy grieving over the death of his wife…). Eckhart has the romantic comedy NO RESERVATIONS due this summer and is currently filming the aforementioned DARK KNIGHT for Warner Bros. Filming is expected to begin early next year.
