First trailer for Grown Ups 2 has bro dudes, deer urine and Deputy Shaq

Grown Ups 2

MAN OF STEEL? Not interested. PACIFIC RIM? Pfffft. Who cares about robots? STAR TREK INTO DARKNESS? Yawn. The movie I can't wait to see this summer is GROWN UPS 2. The first one was an absolute masterpiece and ranks up there with such comedies as BLAZING SADDLES, ANIMAL HOUSE, and CADDYSHACK. GROWN UPS had a hilarious and original script with fantastic direction and use of stars Adam Sandler, Chris Rock, Kevin James, and David Spade, who once again proved that they are the funniest men in film today.

The first trailer for GROWN UPS 2 has been released and we get to see some of the new memembers of the cast like Andy Samberg, Taylor Lautner, and Shaquille O'Neal. The first film was a huge hit and I have no doubt GROWN UPS 2 can surpass the original film, both critically and financially. Take a look at the trailer and tell me I'm wrong. GROWN UPS 2 is in theaters July 12th, 2013.

Plot:

The all-star comedy cast from Grown Ups returns (with some exciting new additions) for more summertime laughs. Lenny (Adam Sandler) has relocated his family back to the small town where he and his friends grew up. This time around, the grown ups are the ones learning lessons from their kids on a day notoriously full of surprises: the last day of school.

Note: Sarcasm has been used heavily in the making of this article.

Extra Tidbit: Dear ex-SNL crew: Kevin James is no Chris Farley. You just can't replace him with another husky dude.

I'll admit, the handshake joke I mildly laughed at, and by mildly I mean I smiled and had one "ha." Other than that, this..just looks average. An average shitty Adam Sandler movie. I wish I could be more upset but I'm more bored than anything.

I just noticed a pleasant absence of Rob Schneider. That is all.

Looks terrible, but I'm sure someone out there is excited.

The first movie looked horrendous, and I never saw it. But this looks even worse. I think the rule of sequels with comedies will not be kind to this one. Generally, comedy sequels are plain terrible, even if their original is gold. Just imagine how this will be if the original was crap.

Maybe the original was a wonderfully poignant character study on the loss of innocence and wanting to regain it, and I'm just being super hard on it. But I can say this trailer doesn't do the sequel any

I did smile at a couple points, but for a 2 minute trailer for a comedy, that's pretty bad mileage.

I'm a big fan of the first movie however this trailer wasn't good at all. I'm still excited to see it but hopefully they are saving the better parts for the movie.

It's funny how it's become cool to hate on someone..

..just because a small group of people start to hate on someone and the rest of the sheep follow. it's almost like a cult. If it was justified it still wouldn't be right but atleast it would make sense. I love Adam Sandler flicks, all my friends love em and my kids love em. They are stupid retarded movies but they're fun and they make us laugh. So i will be that guy, but you know what, I'm not the only one, The last Adam Sandler flick I seen was JACK & JILL, and as terrible as everyone said it

The whole theatre was cracking up and so was I, so to each is own.

It's not hating on someone when there's good reason behind it. Since 2005, his comedies excluding kids movies (Hotel Translyvania and Bedtime Stories) have been absolute shit. The premises are great, but the execution is extremely predictable and considering the talent behind the films, is so under par you have to wonder if he's (or his friends in his films for that matter) are even trying at all or are just trying to make a film and be on vacation at the same time?

Lets look at Grown Ups

Lets look at Grown Ups for example. You have an AMAZING CAST of talented, funny as fuck people who can ad lib and improvise incredible things. Chris Rock,David Spade, Sandler, Mya Rudolph,Colin Quinn, Kevin James, hell, even Rob Sneider, Tim Meadows, and Steve Buscemi are in this thing for a significant time, and what do they resort to? Lowest common denominator of comedy stereotypes, fat guy falling down, peeing in pool, hair piece jokes, old lady having sex with a younger guy. Wow, color me impressed. With a cast like that the level of humor should be on the same scale of that of Dumb and Dumber, Anchorman, or even Ghostbusters. Granted 3 completely different movies, but all with at least a duo or ensamble cast that all brought the funny from each character as well as bringing an interesting story and amazing, and DIFFERENT characters.

Oh yeah, lets talk about Sandler's characters in his films. This is the thing that pisses me off most about him. Excluding his dramas, since Mr.Deeds all his characters are fucking successful and extremely well off in some way. He kinda went back to being an underdog in that's my boy, but the fact that he gave that character one of the most annoying voices ever equals that out. But lets look at it, Jack and Jill= Rich advertising executive, Just go with it = Fuckin dentist/surgeon whatever, Mr. Deeds= Fuckin rich guy, Funny People= RIch comedian, Zohan= Greatest terrorist on earth. What's there to root for? These characters aren't interesting when they're unrelatable (saying that cause about 99.9 fucking percent of movie goers are middle class). Who wants to root for a rich guy with problems all the time? Also, ever notice how many times other characters get one over on Adam Sandler's, ya rarely happens. His characters are usually so fucking perfect that they might as well cure cancer by the time the film happens.

FInally to end this rant, the women Adam has in every movie married to him is so over the line far fetched, it's kinda a spoof in itself, Selma Hayek, Katie Holmes, Jennifer Aniston, and my personal Favorite Brooklyn Decker ( girl is nearly half his age!), it's bullshit and again goes back to my point on who wants to root for his character? He's rich and has a smoken wife, Fuck his problems!

That's why I can't stand the guy, he stopped trying to be funny and took the easy road to his comedies, nothing wrong with that, Tyler Perry and the people behind the scary movie and other movie spoof parodies took the same route, They all went for the money and easy way in my opinion, and it works, his movies still make a shit load of cash and there is an audience for them. I'm not gonna bash the people that see that (even though it pisses me off to see movies like this make a lot of money), I can't tell people which movies to see and which ones to avoid, nor would I want to.

The Adam Sandler I will remember is the one that took chances.BIlly Madison, Happy Gilmore, and Reign Over me will always be his best movies in my honest opinion. The Adam Sandler I see now is just sticking to a crappy formula that will make money but has lost my and others interest in him.

Looks amazing

I actually laughed a few times. This looks like a fun movie to see at the drive ins. I am pretty sure I saw the first one at the drive ins alongside Machete. That was a great night.

Loved the first one and I'm looking forward to this. A slow start to the trailer but it got me by the end.
I don't know what's up with this special members club, the first film wasn't that bad. Oh shit wait, I forget, hating on Sandler films is 'amazeballs' or something like that now.

Go watch your fucking indie films.

Shaquille O'Neal should do more movies. He should stick to roles that he can actually do. His acting ability is not terrible, but it is limited, frankly. However, he does have a hell of a lot of charisma, a very funny personality, and a unique look. Sue me, but I did not mind watching Steel nor Blue Chips. O'Neal could be like Tyson in the Hangover movies or Chamberlain in Conan the Destroyer or Marino in Ace Ventura. Give the man a bit part or a limited supporting role, and one bets that he

I confess, however, that he is probably no Ray Allan, Chuck Connors, or Tyler Mane, ex-athletes who can act well.
