Not too long ago, we premiered the first official look at the delectable Rachel Nichols as Scarlett (with USA Today debuting Snake Eyes before that) in the upcoming G.I. JOE feature and today the internets has been flooded with first official looks at a few other key players in the film. Let's see if we can sort this all out:
The IESB premiered the first look at Christopher Eccleston as the nefarious Destro, Comingsoon.net got first dibs on Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje as the massive gun wielding Heavy Duty, IGN landed a peek at a surprisingly sexy Sienna Miller as Baroness, Dark Horizons scored a first glimpse at Saïd Taghmaoui as Breaker, Collider hit us with a little Dennis Quaid as General Hawk and Latino Review slipped in some Byung-hun Lee as Storm Shadow. Whew!

I don't mind some liberties, but this might as well be just any
I don't mind some liberties, but this might as well be just any old (campy) military movie with the G.I.Joe names slapped on as an homage, or a nod to the characters we used to love.
Not to mention that a lot of the G.I.Joe costumes looked believably like military uniforms (with some modifications); and the ones they're using here look like they're from a sci-fi movie. If they absolutely have to abandon the signature look of the characters, they should at LEAST make the costumes look realistically military. I don't care HOW special a unit of the military you're in, you don't wear stuff like this!
Yeah, ya know what this is?! It's those cheesy, generic Joe rip-off soldiers that came in a 4-pack, who all had the same costumes; the ones your grandma got ya because she didn't know the difference between them and real G.I.Joes! That's what this is; it isn't G.I.Joe.
And I agree 100% with Mr. Boejangles, when he said, "AND I DONT CARE how stupid it looks, destro better have a metal head!"
Truly, because when you think Destro, what do you think of? The metal head. That's it! The metal head! He's not Destro without it! Period.
I don't feel good about this movie. And it wouldn't be a big deal if G.I.Joe wasn't the best thing EVER when we were kids! I'd prefer they don't make the movie, rather than get it wrong. They already failed to do Transformers justice, and now they're doin' the same to G.I.Joe.

Ok, so we've seen the cast, and their expensive costumes. Now I want to see a teaser, or trailer. I want a REAL sample of the quality of this movie. These pictures just aren't getting me excited.
