Friends for life, Matthew McConaughey and Woody Harrelson have teamed up once more for the HBO series TRUE DETECTIVE.
The first teaser for the Cary Fukunaga (SIN NOMBRE, JANE EYRE) directed series has landed and it is certainly a tease. We don’t really get much of anything at all. It’s kind of like the TRUE BLOOD opening credits (but will be nothing like TRUE BLOOD) then gives us a glimpse at McConaughey and Harrelson.
The series written by Nic Pizzolatto centers on, “Rust Cohle (McConaughey) and Martin Hart (Harrelson), whose lives collide and entwine during a seventeen-year hunt for a serial killer in Louisiana. The investigation of a bizarre murder in 1995 is framed and interlaced with testimony from the detectives in 2012, when the case has been reopened.”
The first eight episodes will make their way to HBO in 2014. Michelle Monaghan also stars. Check out the teaser below.
