Howard kicks ass

Terrence Howard has signed on to star with Channing Tatum (STEP UP) in the upcoming street fighting drama from writer/director Dito Montiel (A GUIDE TO RECOGNIZING YOUR SAINTS). In the film, Howard will star as Harvey Boarden, a down on his luck fight promoter who finds a street hustler (Tatum) and trains him to become top dog in New York's illegal street fighting biz. Is there really an underground New York street fighting ring? How do you get invited to something like that? Howard has been a popular guy lately and has a assload of movies on the way including THE BRAVE ONE, AUGUST RUSH, AWAKE, PERFECT CHRISTMAS and, of course, IRON MAN. Tatum has a starring role in the upcoming Iraq war drama STOP LOSS and the Charlize Theron drama BATTLE IN SEATTLE. Filming on this project (once titled simply FIGHTING) is expected to begin next month in New York City.

Extra Tidbit: If you can believe this, Tatum used to model for Abercrombie & Fitch, Nautica, Gap and Aeropostale.
