Jake Gyllenhaal lost a bunch of weight for his NIGHTCRAWLER role, but it appears he gained it all back (and then some) for his upcoming boxing flick SOUTHPAW. The first image from the film has been released, featuring the actor's new look for the Antoine Fuqua movie, and by "new look" I mean a ton of muscle.

"You got something to say about Bubble Boy? Step into the ring, bro!"

A few months ago Gyllenhaal told Variety he worked out six hours a day for six months for the role, and reportedly gained 15 pounds of muscle to play left-handed boxer Billy "The Great" Hope. SOUTHPAW is a project that's been in the works for a few years (with Eminem at one point being eyed for the lead) and I'm very excited it's actually happening, especially with the talent involved. Ok, so Curtis "50 Cent" Jackson is in it, but SOUTHPAW also stars Rachel McAdams, Naomie Harris and Forest Whitaker, and the script was written by Sons of Anarchy creator Kurt Sutter. SOUTHPAW currently doesn't have a release date, but will likely hit theaters sometime in 2015, or early 2016.
