Judy Greer joins Dawn of the Planet of the Apes as Cornelia

Last Updated on August 5, 2021

DAWN OF THE PLANET OF THE APES has brought in a new primate. Comedian Judy Greer (best known for a plethora of chick flicks and an amusing supporting role in “Arrested Development”), has come aboard the Matt Reeves film; she’ll be playing “Cornelia,” a love interest for Andy Serkis’ Caesar. Yes folks, there’s going to be some monkey love goin’ down.

Cornelia was seen briefly in RISE OF THE PLANET OF THE APES, but her role will be expanded for DAWN, giving Caesar something to hold onto now that James Franco is no longer in the picture. Like Serkis, Greer will be wearing a motion-capture suit to help bring her ape to life.

Greer and Serkis are joined by Jason Clarke, Keri Russell, Kodi Smit-McPhee and Gary Oldman in the sequel, which is aiming for a May 2014 release.
