Strike Back below!
by: Daniel Barna Jan. 9, 2009

Many were holding their breath when the rumour surfaced that legendary film composer Ennio Morricone was to score Quentin Tarantino's upcoming WWII epic INGLORIOUS BASTERDS. Unfortunately for the breath-holders, Morricone has decided to score long time collaborator Giuseppe Tornatore's BAARIA instead.

The only person more upset by this news than all the QT/Morricone fans out there must be QT himself, who must absolutely idolize Morricone for everything he's contributed to the cinematic landscape. Too bad QT, guess it's time to drown your sorrows in booze and hookers. Come over, I have plenty of both.

Extra Tidbit: Apparently scheduling conflicts are the reason for this non-collaboration.

Damn!
For a movie like the one QT is making, it would've been awesome to see it happen...

push back whatever deadlines there are for finishing the film until Morricone has finished on the other project so he can do this = problem solved and even more reason to see this... shame that won't happen :(

Damn it!
That's a shame they couldn't find a way.

On the other hand, I wasn't aware Giuseppe Tornatore was making a new movie, so it's not totally bad news either.

Damn.
Too bad. I was looking forward to this collaboration. Well, there is lots of other great composers. Maybe Fabio Frizzi? That would be great too.
