MTV Movie noms | Movie News

The MTV Movie Award nominations were announced this morning and, well, I'd say they're bizarre but really it's exactly what you'd expect from an MTV hosted movie award show. THE DARK KNIGHT somehow got three less nominations than TWILIGHT though it should be interesting to see these two, um, passionate fanbases face off together in the online voting process. And whats with the people nominated? Does HSM3 need to be nominated that many times? Efron for Best Male Perfomance? Did he hit puberty during the movie? Where's the love for Eckhart for TDK? Fucking MTV trying to get fucking Tweens to watch this crap.
And you are telling me that nobody from Tropic Thunder, Zack and Miri, or Role Models got nominated for Comedic Performance?
Thank God that got rid of "Best Summer Movie Not to Come Out Yet". Maybe this year it will be "Who is Hunker, Zack Efron or the Douche from Twilight?"

I think I stopped giving a shit about MTV when they replaced music videos with reality shows. In case you're too young to know that sort of sits squarely on Ben Stillers shoulders for Reality Bites, which turned into the reality show The Real World, which was the begining of the end for MTV (RIP).

Ever since Transformers won "Best Movie we Haven't Seen yet" two years ago, I'm never going to look at the MMA's as anything more than a media convention with hot chicks.

wish there was something a little "in-between" for the rest of us who dont conform to either of those stereotypes.
