New Alien: Covenant promos are the stuff of found footage nightmares

Last Updated on August 2, 2021

Today, 20th Century Fox has unleashed two frightening found footage-style promos for their upcoming film ALIEN: COVENANT. The clips feature both Katherine Waterston’s Daniels and Billy Crudup’s Oram in a scary collection of reels that offer both words of warning as well as a few blood-cudling screams.

You can check both of the promos out below (which we've spliced into one convenient video):

As you know, ALIEN: COVENANT marks Ridley Scott's return to the popular sci-fi horror franchise, as the famed-filmmaker embarks on a new chapter of xenomorph-related madness that looks to be as terrifying as it is stylish. If you've yet to learn the story details of the latest ALIEN sequel, ALIEN: COVENANT finds the crew of the colony ship Covenant plotting their course for a seemingly desolate planet on the far side of the galaxy. Shortly after touching down on an uncharted paradise, the team discovers that their newly colonized planetoid is indeed a dark and dangerous one. Soon, they uncover a threat beyond their imaginations, and find that they're left with no choice but to attempt a harrowing escape before a deadly alien race devours them one by one.

Directed by Ridley Scott, in accordance with a screenplay written by Jack Paglen and Michael Green, ALIEN COVENANT stars Michael Fassbender, Katherine Waterston, Billy Crudup, Danny McBride, Demián Bichir, Carmen Ejogo, Amy Seimetz, Jussie Smollett, Callie Hernandez, Nathaniel Dean, Alexander England, Benjamin Rigby, and James Franco.

The acid drooling, chest-bursting fun of ALIEN: COVENANT begins on May 19, 2017.
