Proud Peacock Page

Since her breakthrough as the object of lecherous affection in HARD CANDY, we’ve watched Canadian pixie Ellen Page blossom from fiery teenager to… fiery 20-year-old.

And reciting Diablo Cody’s self-consciously pop-culture dialogue was the best thing she could possibly do for her career — the Oscar-nominated JUNO star is collecting projects like her palm crystal is turning black (please pardon all LOGAN’S RUN references). Besides Drew Barrymore’s roller derby flick WHIP IT and Sam Raimi’s return to horror DRAG ME TO HELL, she’s also starring with Cillian Murphy (28 DAYS LATER) in a new movie called PEACOCK.

The thriller, named for the small Nebraska town where it’s set, follows Murphy’s split personality who “fools the town into believing his two alter egos are man and wife”. Page plays a young mom (baby on the outside this time) who causes friction between Murphy’s two mind-halves.
