In a little more than a months' time, audiences will see what Marvel can pull off with their first Netflix show, Dardevil. The series' entire first season will be made available at once, as per the usual Netflix release practices, and will give fans what could be the grittiest comic book TV show to date on April 10. The charismatic Charlie Cox (THE THEORY OF EVERYTHING, STARDUST) will portray the blind lawyer with superhumanly enhanced senses that enable him to fight crime as a costumed superhero. Check out some of the latest images to hit the web, featuring Rosario Dawson, Deborah Ann Woll and Elden Henson as Foggy Nelson.

I haven't really taken to any comic book TV shows thus far, as the bulk of them tend to imitate what the big-budget films do, which is just ridiculous. I'm certainly not opposed to the idea, just that character development and great writing have to be at the forefront. Given that the entire season of Dardevil will be made available to us, I'm looking forward to checking out Marvel's first Netflix show and remain cautiously optimistic.

Daredevil will be released via Netflix on April 10, 2015.
