Schwarzenegger shoots it up in these new pics from David Ayer's Sabotage

Nov. 20, 2013by: Paul Shirey

Arnold is back at it again, this time with the upcoming SABOTAGE from director David Ayer (END OF WATCH). USA Today dropped some new pics from the action thriller, which feature Arnold Schwarzenegger, Sam Worthington, Joe Manganiello, Mireille Enos armed to the teeth and looking relatively badass. The film centers around an elite DEA task force that find themselves targeted after raiding a drug cartel safe house, which seems like fine territory for a David Ayer flick. Also starring in the film are Josh Holloway, Olivia Williams, Harold Perrineau, and Max Martini (PACIFIC RIM).

Here's the pics:

I'm very much looking forward to this. I'm an unabashed fan of Ayer, who has delivered some really intense action thrillers with deeply flawed protagonists. After writing TRAINING DAY, he dabbled in the mainstream a bit (S.W.A.T., DARK BLUE) and then delivered the modest and underrated HARSH TIMES, STREET KINGS, and his latest, END OF WATCH, all of which have proven he's a filmmaker to watch. Apparently, Hollywood has taken notice, as he's now saddled up with power players like Schwarzenegger and is currently shooting the WWII tank thriller, FURY, with Brad Pitt. Arnold seems pleased with Ayer's promise as well, saying, "This is a very intense movie. I don't know if everyone has the stomach to handle this. It's brutal. We're taking the action thriller to new heights."

SABOTAGE opens on April 11, 2014.

That's the way to go...

Instead of putting out mediocre crap like "the expandables" get a quality director and make an awesome movie...
This looks promising and I'm sure Ayer is going to deliver again...

Excited for this, though I wish they stuck with the title "Ten".

there is something...

...strange about arnold, as far as I like him as an action star since i'm young... the guy looks like tired and out of place in an action flick these days and it hurt ! except for that last picture where he look like a freaking badass ! anyway, just cause it's him paired with a great director, i'm hip !

Hopefully it wont be ignored like Arnie's last two (decent) efforts.
I can imagine the marketing going the way of 'From the director of...' as opposed to 'Arnold Schwarzenegger in..'

About time Josh Holloway has got some more work.

After playing on LOST for 6 years (& Mission: Impossible Ghost Protocol for 6 seconds) this dude deserves a star turn in something awesome.

sounds pretty cool, and the pics are great (especially the last one of Arnold). I didn't know Sam Worthington was in this. I really liked him in Man On A Ledge.

Really looking forward to this one. It looks like it's really going to bring the action and has an awesome cast.

Plus, I loved the hell out of Training Day, Harsh Times, Street Kings, and End of Watch (especially End of Watch).
