Seyfried gets Punched

Things were going along smoothly for Zack Snyder as he developed his WATCHMEN follow-up SUCKER PUNCH. He had a cast that included Vanessa Hudgens, Abbie Cornish, Evan Rachel Wood and Emma Stone with MEAN GIRLS and MAMMA MIA star Amanda Seyfried as the lead. Filming was scheduled to begin this fall and all was right in the world…until HBO got wind of that plan. The cable company has refused to work with Seyfried on a shooting schedule that would allow her to finish her responsibilities on “Big Love” while filming SUCKER at the same time. So Seyfried was forced to drop out and now SUCKER PUNCH is without its lead.

Now it’s time for all you amateur casting agents to get to work. Who would you cast to replace Seyfried? A little info on the character: She’s Baby Doll and her stepfather has sent her to a mental institution to be lobotomized. While there, she imagines an alternative reality and fantasizes about escaping with the help of her fellow inmates. It’s been described by Snyder as Alice in Wonderland with machine guns. Hmm. So who could be the girl?…
