Sienna Miller joins Garry Marshall’s massive cast for New Years Eve

Just some brief casting news to tide you over. Plus this gives me an excuse to post pictures of Sienna Miller.

Miller has signed on for Garry Marshall’s NEW YEARS EVE. She will join an all-star cast that already consists of Jessica Biel, Abigail Breslin, Robert De Niro, Ashton Kutcher, Sarah Jessica Parker, Michelle Pfeiffer, Til Schweiger and Hilary Swank. Rumor has it that Lea Michele, Sofia Vergara and Hector Elizondo may also jump on board the comedy.

Biel and Kutcher had roles in Marshall’s VALENTINE’S DAY, but the characters they play in this film will not be the same.

Here’s some info on the plot and characters:

“The film follows a group of New Yorkers who navigate their way through intersecting romantic situations on New Year’s Eve. Parker will be playing the mother of Breslin who relies on her daughter too much for company. Pfeiffer is a frustrated secretary who decides to work on her unfulfilled New Year’s resolutions, and Efron would play a bike messenger who crosses paths with her. Swank is the producer of the big Times Square New Year’s Eve bash, while Kutcher is a man who hates the big holiday. Berry would play a caterer who runs into a former flame. Last but not least, Biel will play a women looking to be the first to give birth on January 1 to win a cash prize, and De Niro is a dying man she meets in the hospital.”

No details yet on Miller’s character. The film is due to release December 9th, 2011.
