Six character posters from The Lego Movie have assembled

Nov. 14, 2013by: Eric Walkuski

THE LEGO MOVIE is, based on the most recent trailer, going to be a blast. With a stupendous voice cast and the wild vision of Phil Lord and Christopher Miller, the duo behind 21 JUMP STREET and CLOUDY WITH A CHANCE OF MEATBALLS what seemed initially like an odd pitch now appears to be an unbeatable proposition. Not to mention the indisputable fact that everybody loves legos.

We've assembled six new character posters from the film, highlighting the main characters from the animated comedy. Take a look at them below.

The cast includes Chris Pratt, Elizabeth Banks, Morgan Freeman, Will Arnett, Cobie Smulders, Will Ferrell, Channing Tatum, Liam Neeson, Jonah Hill, Alison Brie, Nick Offerman, and Charlie Day (whew!) It opens on February 7, 2014.

The official synopsis:

The original 3D computer animated story follows Emmet, an ordinary, rules-following, perfectly average LEGO minifigure who is mistakenly identified as the most extraordinary person and the key to saving the world. He is drafted into a fellowship of strangers on an epic quest to stop an evil tyrant, a journey for which Emmet is hopelessly and hilariously underprepared.

The plastic texturing is fun, but I really like how the little bit at the front of the spaceman's helmet is broken - always happens.

Nymphomaniac

This series of posters remind me of the Nymphomanic posters.
And I feel a bit ashamed of that.

I also love the little detail like the plastic lines in the helmet and her hair and such. It adds that "hey, I am made out of plastic" feel that it should have. Very nice little added details.
Will Arrnett does a great Batman voice but no one can top Kevin Conroy. It's like hearing Peter Cullen as Optimus Prime. It's just...it's so iconic to me. Not saying others can't do those voices, but I myself prefer Conroy and Cullen....but they aren't getting any younger either.
I am looking forward

I am looking forward to this movie though. Looks far better than I had expected so hopefully the movie itself will be awesome!

This is probably going to sound stupid. But I love the detail on the Charlie Day/Benny poster. The cracked helmet is exactly what I remember from playing with the spaceman legos growing up. Those damn helmets always got cracked, but you still used them anyway.

Loving the look of this movie!!!

Maybe this is what Kevin Smith saw and he was so overjoyed that Zack Snyder didn't have the heart to tell him it was from the LEGO movie.

That Batman poster....

I can't get Will Arnett's voice from the trailer out of my head. That, to me, IS the Batman's voice. I genuinely can't wait to see this movie. Kids will love it, adults will get to be kids again, who will love it.....
