It looks as if Peter Berg very much enjoyed working with his cast from LONE SURVIVOR. Just recently he directed a commercial for Call of Duty: Advcaned Warfare starring Taylor Kitsch. Now it seems he'll reunite with Mark Wahlberg for some more live-action fun, this time in the guise of THE SIX BILLION DOLLAR MAN. Based off the show of the (nearly) same name, the story will focus on a man saved by doctors after a horrific crash in an experimental plane, who is then fitted with bionic replacements and tasked to work for a government agency. You know, that old tale.

For the most part, Berg is more than adequate at helming an exciting action picture. BATTLESHIP aside (like that ever had a chance), I'm always curious to check out the next project he's working on, and given the fun he had with the Call of Duty trailer, I wonder if he'll inject some of those sensibilities into his SIX BILLION DOLLAR MAN picture.

No writers have been hired yet, so we shouldn't expect to see THE SIX BILLION DOLLAR MAN until 2016, most likely.

I personally can't wait to see Wahlberg tackle more comedy.
