Tron: Legacy director Joseph Kosinski may have found his graphic novel, Oblivion a home with Disney

TRON: LEGACY hasn’t even come out yet, and already director Joseph Kosinski is starting to look like a hot commodity.

Kosinski’s graphic novel from Radical Publishing, Oblivion might find a home with Disney Studios. Kosinski and Radical chief Barry Levine started pitching the project to studios last Monday night. So far, Paramount, Fox/Chernin Entertainment, and Universal have made bids. However, over the course of three years trying to put TRON: LEGACY together, Kosinski has built up a relationship with Disney as well as producer Sean Bailey–before he became Disney’s president of production.

Of course, Kosinski would helm the project. Oblivion is “a futuristic science fiction love story that takes place in an apocalyptic future where most people live above the clouds, far from the inhospitable place that the surface of Earth has become. An earthbound soldier who repairs drones that patrol and destroy a savage alien race discovers a beautiful woman who crashed in a craft. They take an epic adventure that chances his world view.”

Verve and Anonymous Content (Kosinski’s reps) are currently trying to work out a deal.
