Two actors in need of a career rennaissance are Paul Walker and Hayden Christensen. Once considered to be two of young Hollywood's hottest properties, both have seen a significant decline in relevance and work. Once the king of the galaxy as young Vader, Christensen has been relegated to the role of that guy who's banging Rachel Bilson, while Walker is running scared back to the fast and furious glory days. Fittingly, the two have decided to join forces in an attempt to regain their places among the matinee idol elite.
BONE DEEP, a crime thriller directed by John Luessenhop, will revolve around a group of criminals who find their $20 million plan interrupted by a hard-boiled detective, to be played by Matt Dillon. Walker will play the leader of the bank robbers while Christensen will play a rookie detective. Unfortunately this thing sounds like just another mediocre popcorn flick that will pass in and out of theatres unnoticed, a-la JUMPER. On the bright side, the film also co-stars two of urban music's brightest young stars in Chris Brown and T.I. as well as my favorite of all time, Stringer Bell! (Idris Elba, for you non Wire-heads).
Extra Tidbit:
Hayden and Paul both starred in films with Jessica Alba. When will it be my turn?

NOTABLY
Whether or not you liked Jumper, I just wanted it noted that the movie made over 80 million dollars at the box office. So, I am saying that it did not "pass in & out of theaters". |

I'LL DEAL WITH IT...
Not a big fan of Hayden, but Paul Walker is dreamy, and i really really enjoyed Running Scared, and Eight Below was actually good, i got choked up. I could handle TI, but Chris Brown..ehh..good thing he was in Stomp The Yard for the first 10 minutes. i actually like ATL. |

OKAY...
I go with the plot. Its sounds kind of good to me. Paul Walker is one of my favorites, he is a great actor. I will watch the movie for sure.
But why they are casting "Chris Brown". Why him, aren't there any other actors or newbies. Is he that good enough to come to movies?
TI, can be good. He is okay, he was good in "American Gangster", but why Chris Brown. GOD, pisses me off.

Hayden was really good in Shattered Glass and was good in Jumper (which, like many have said, is underrated).
Running Scared was sick and Paul Walker is a good actor for these types of entertaining actionish movies.
And heist movies are awesome.
But I agree with t_mar, the title is kinda weird. |

BUT C'MON!
But Bone Deep??? Really? That sounds more like the name of the porn that was inspired by the actual movie. |

Paul Walker won me over with Running Scared. If you haven't seen it you should. It even has The Arrows approval! I haven't liked any other of his movies but he did even in his shitty movies he stands out.
Christensen can go either way. I think he's good with the right director. |

PEOPLE NEED TO LET GO OF THE STAR WARS PREQUELS
Even Liam Neeson was horrible in his Star Wars prequel. Lucas has the ability to make any actor, no matter how talented, look useless on screen. Christensen was great in Awake and Life as a House. I also wouldn't call Jumper a mediocre popcorn flick. Considering its based on a popular kids' novel it was pretty damn good (compare it to Eragon, The Seeker, or The Golden Compass).
As far as Paul Walker goes, he was great in Running Scared, but I haven't enjoyed him in anything else. I guess that has to do more with the movies themselves though.
Its good to see these guys aren't yet stuck doing sappy romantic comedies (Ryan Reynolds hasn't been as fortunate). |

To me Paul Walker has about as much acting talent as one of the O'Connell brothers; which is zilch! I can live without seeing him in another film.
I dig Christenson and would like to see him in more stuff. Jumper wasn't the best movie on earth but I thought he did alright. I have not seen that recent one with him yet though. I won't give up on his potential yet. |
