The anthropomorphic hosts of the 1960s Krofft Brothers / Hanna-Barbera variety show The Banana Splits Adventure Hour are making a horrific comeback in the upcoming R-rated feature THE BANANA SPLITS MOVIE, and today we have an EXCLUSIVE clip to share from the film.

In the clip below, a couple young kids put themselves at risk with a dare to open a mailbox… What's inside this mailbox? We'll get our answer when THE BANANA SPLITS MOVIE receives its Digital release tomorrow, which will be followed by a DVD and Blu-ray release on August 27th. If you'd like to pre-order a copy, click HERE.

Directed by Danishka Esterhazy from a screenplay by Jed Elinoff and Scott Thomas, THE BANANA SPLITS MOVIE has the following synopsis:

A boy named Harley and his family (brother Austin, mother Beth, and father Mitch) attends a taping of The Banana Splits TV show, which is supposed to be a fun-filled birthday for young Harley and business as usual for Rebecca, the producer of the series. But things take an unexpected turn — and the body count quickly rises. Can Harley, his mom and their new pals safely escape?

Dani Kind, Finlay Wojtak-Hissong, Romeo Carere, Steve Lund, and Sara Canning star.

Like last month's CRITTERS ATTACK!, THE BANANA SPLITS MOVIE is coming to us from Blue Ribbon Content and Warner Bros. Home Entertainment, and will be airing on Syfy later this year.
